Guide to Municipality Measures and Support
The constant search for new alternatives and intervention dynamics resulted in the emergence of the municipal support document which guarantees innovative partnerships in the search for solutions to emerging themes.
In this way, the municipal intervention occurs at the moment of promoting local development, presenting the civil society organisations as allies in the course of the process, either in partnership or in network.
The Municipality of Braga shows feelings of commitment and proximity to the community, being constantly aware and concerned with the fundamental needs of the community. It considers it essential to build answers that may facilitate the access to all those who need support in the various municipal areas.
From sport to the environment, the municipalities have revealed a prominent centrality, thanks to their ability to affirm their local identity, playing a predominant role in supporting the different segments of the population.
Since support for people is considered a fundamental pillar for the sustainability and balance of the local community, the municipal support document was created to promote, develop and empower organisations and people, contributing to institutional dynamisation and cooperation through local development.
The contents of this document, made available to the Mayors of the Junta, demonstrates to be a facilitating means of communication with all the parishioners who need to resort to support.
The proximity between the mayors and their citizens is demonstrated daily, being this a privileged mean of communication and diffusion. Therefore, Braga City Council intends to contribute and collaborate in a process of sharing responsibilities and promoting answers close to the citizens, providing space for new collaborations that meet the real needs of the citizens of Braga.
