The Convent of Carmo
The Convent of Carmo was founded on 1 February 1653 by Friar João do Espírito Santo, a citizen of the city of Braga.
The church has a plan in the shape of a Latin cross, a decorative content of the Baroque period associated with the 18th century.
Having a mannerist, baroque, rococo, neoclassical and revivalist architecture, it is one of the many churches that today is directed only to the religious temple, having been inaugurated on 2 March 2013, the Núcleo Museológico do Carmo.
