Santa Barbara’s Garden
The Santa Barbara’s Garden is one of the most visited public gardens in Braga. It is located in the city centre, next to the medieval wing of the "Paço Episcopal Bracarense" and the "Pastelaria Lusitana".
It is known for its geometry and colours, coming from flowers, vegetation and birds.
In the centre of the garden you can find a 17th century fountain, which used to be in the former Convent of Remédios, and at the top of it there is a representation of Saint Barbara, born in Turkey and the protagonist of a story that came to a tragic end.
This is the perfect place for a break or for reading a book, a true refuge in the city centre.
