Roman Thermae of Maximinus
In 1977, archaeological excavations discovered ruins of a public baths next to the "Forum" of the ancient Roman city of "Bracara Augusta", with an area of 850 square meters.
It is speculated that the only known Roman public baths in Braga were built in the late 1st century (Flavian Period), and have been classified as a National Monument since 1986.
By visiting the facilities it is possible to learn a little more about the history of the "Portuguese Rome".
