International Youth Day 2025
Braga Youth Centre celebrated International Youth Day 2025
On 14 August, the Braga Youth Centre (CJB) celebrated International Youth Day with an afternoon full of energy, creativity and participation, dedicated to the theme ‘Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond’, proposed by the United Nations for 2025.
The programme included inspiring moments such as the Ideas Laboratory: SDGs and Beyond, organised by the CJB, and the Non-Formal Education activities promoted by FAJUB, where educational games and escape rooms showed that learning can be as much fun as playing.
Throughout the afternoon, participants were able to enjoy the Ping Pong Tournament, Board Games brought by Cidade Curiosa, and the Take Care of Yourself, Celebrate Who You Are! space, facilitated by IPDJ under the Take Care of Yourself programme.
The moment of reflection for the day was provided by the round table ‘Youth and the Future: Local Visions for a Post-2030 World,’ which brought together Alexandra Fernandes, Hélder Costa, Matilde Gonçalves, and Diogo Vieira in an inspiring conversation about the priorities and challenges for youth in the coming decade.
The evening ended with the Sunset Party & DJ Set, which filled the CJB terrace with music, conviviality and celebration.
The event was an initiative of FAJUB - Federation of Youth Associations of the District of Braga, organised in partnership with the Braga Youth Centre, the Municipality of Braga and the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ).
The best moments of this edition can be reviewed on CJB's social media, where a special highlight is also available, bringing together all the posts and stories shared before, during, and after the event.
